ShipStation is not only the most powerful shipping solution at the moment, but also the leader in E-Commerce and order integrations. Y3PL provides two ShipStation integrations to support your shipping requirements and integration requirements.
Using ShipStation Shipping
The first integration is the ability to generate carrier shipping labels via your ShipStation. After your Y3PL system is integrated with your ShipStation account, your carriers and ship from warehouses will be automatically retrieved from your ShipStation.
In your Y3PL system, if you go to Settings -> Configurations -> Couriers -> Add New Courier, you'll see the following 3 mapping:
The carrier, service and package mappings are from your ShipStation account. In other word, you need to successfully set up your carriers in your ShipStation first.
Once a carrier in Y3PL is set up with the ShipStation mapping, any shipments that are using this carrier will be automatically saved in your ShipStation account.
We will be using an example to demonstrate how this works:
In our sandbox account, we have set up a carrier called UPS Ground with the above mappings to a real ShipStation account.
In addition, we have set up a client with a ShipStation mapping:
Now, we will create a customer, with UPS-Ground as carrier.
We then create an order going to this customer, with a couple of items.
Last step, we will click on "Add Shipment".
Now if we go to our ShipStation account, we'll see a new order is created automatically like the following:
Y3PL automatically handles all the mapping for you. All your warehouse needs to do is weight the package and click on "Create Label". You can set up a scale via ShipStation connect.
Sometimes, you will need to void a shipment. Y3PL will also delete the order (if any) from ShipStation when you void a shipment.
Finally, in your ShipStation, if you click on Other Action -> Scan Barcode, you will see the following:
All the documents have the correct barcodes for you to scan in ShipStation to find the order.

Once an order is shipped in ShipStation, Y3PL will automatically retrieve the tracking number and carrier cost. If you have the correct set up, the carrier cost will then be charged to the 3PL client. You can also set up a mark up.
Using ShipStation Order Integration
The second feature Y3PL has is to import orders from your ShipStation. For example, in our ShipStation, we have an Amazon market place set up. ShipStation checks the Amazon account and imports orders. Y3PL then will retrieve these orders into your system.
Below is the orders from the Amazon market place:
This is also automatically saved in our Y3PL system
Y3PL system will not duplicate create another order in ShipStation if the original order comes from ShipStation.
The processes are the same except the shipping barcode will be automatically changed to the order number in your ShipStation. You can still scan and ship in seconds.
After an order is shipped, the ShipStation account will notify Amazon. Y3PL system will again retrieve the tracking number and shipping cost so that you can charge your 3PL customer(s).
