In your Y3PL system, a client represents one of your 3PL customer. To set up a new client, go to Settings -> Clients, then click on "Add New Client".
Basic Client Information
You need to enter the name of the client. Optionally, you can also enter an account number as well as the primary email address.
After clicking on "Save Info" button, two new sections will show up - addresses and details.
You should fill in the client address so that a formal packing slip can be generated. When a shipment is shipped, the packing slip will automatically retrieve the address of the client.
In addition, if you are using any of our customized billing report, these address fields will be also be used.
Below are the detailed explanation of the client detail fields
|Logo URI||This should be a absolute path to an image file. If a logo URI is set for this client, it will be printed on the packing slips or invoices.|
|Invoice Prefix||This is a prefix to the invoice number. For example, some businesses start their invoice with "INV".|
|Next Invoice #||The next invoice number for this client. Note sending invoices are very rare cases in 3PL warehouses. If you do not need to send invoices on behalf of your 3PL customer, there's no need to configure this field.|
|Packing Slip Prefix||A prefix to the packing slip number|
|Next Packing Slip #||The next packing slip number. By default, it starts at 1|
|Send Email Alert||These two checkbox fields indicate if an email notification should be sent to the client once an order is received or shipped. The email notification will include a copy of the shipping / receiving report.|
|Client Use ShipStation||If this is checked, you will get an additional select box to map the correct ship from warehouse accordingly. Note that you must set up your ShipStation connection first before using this. In addition, client outbound orders that matching a ShipStation courier will be automatically created in your ShipStation account.|
|Charge Modifier||Shipping charge modifier is used to mark up or mark down shipping charges that are retrieved from your ShipStation account after an order is shipped. For example, after shipping an order in ShipStation, the carrier charge is $10.00. However, you want to mark up 15% on top of this and pass the charge to this client. You should put 1.15 in this field.|
|Accounting Map Name||This is used for customized 3PL invoice files.|
|Accounting Term||This is used for customized 3PL invoice files.|
|Accounting Due Date||This is used for customized 3PL invoice files.|
|Receiving Alert Emails||If you have checked "Send Email Alert When Receiving", you should put email address(es) in this field. Separate multiple addresses by a semicolon (;)|
|Shipping Alert Emails||If you have checked "Send Email Alert When Shipping", you should put email address(es) in this field. Separate multiple addresses by a semicolon (;)|
